Subject: Northwest Passage HTML 5 Conversion Update

Northwest would like to inform its customers that its multi-year project to convert windows in
Northwest Passage from Adobe Flash to HTML 5 has been completed. This project was necessary as the
support for Adobe Flash will be phased out in 2020. The implementation approach utilized by
Northwest allowed this conversion to take place virtually unnoticed by customers.
Given the critical nature of the Nomination window, Northwest will allow customers to access the
original window through the end of August by clicking on (“Nominations”>”Nomination”>”Nomination
Old”). However, the Nomination default window will be the new HTML 5 version. While the HTML 5
window appears largely identical in format and function, some enhancements have been implemented
to either improve the user experience or were necessary for the window to function in various browser
environments.
Northwest asks that all customers immediately begin using the converted Nomination window and alert
their Marketing Services Representatives or the Scheduling Hotline (801) 584-7301 if you encounter any
issues.
