Subject: Rocky Mountain Pool Looping Related to Vernal Outage
Notice Text:
As indicated in All Shippers Notice #26-204, Northwest is currently performing maintenance at the Vernal Compressor Station that restricts available capacity to net 0 Dth/d northbound or net 0 Dth/d southbound through Gas Day October 19, 2026. Northwest is aware of pool looping impacts occurring within the Rocky Mountain Pool during the outage period. These impacts are being reflected in the Intraday sub-cycle 3 scheduling cycles and are the result of constraints and interactions within Northwest’s scheduling model. At this time, there is no manual override or system modification that can be implemented prior to the completion of the outage. Therefore, for the remainder of the outage period, Northwest recommends that Shippers avoid the Rocky Mountain Pool where feasible and instead utilize point-to-point transportation.
To assist Shippers affected by these impacts, Northwest will accommodate Post ID requests necessary to align transactions impacted by pooling activity during the outage period.
For Gas Days October 8 through October 14, 2026, Post ID requests and all required party approvals must be received no later than October 20, 2026.
For Gas Day October 15, 2026, and each subsequent Gas Day through the conclusion of the outage, Post ID requests and all required party approvals must be received within three (3) business days after the applicable Gas Day.
If Northwest does not receive all required approvals within the applicable timeframe, the Post ID request will not be processed and Northwest will create the applicable Shipper imbalance(s).
